Directors
We have a Board of volunteer Directors at Parity Trust made up of people with specialised knowledge in their sector. Skills include banking, finance, housing and law. We also have a Credit Committee who use their skills and professional knowledge to sanction or decline loan applications.
Chair: Lucy Furniss. Lucy has been a Director of Parity Trust since 2006 and was voted in as Chair in November 2008. Lucy brings a wealth of experience, having managed Parity for a couple of years and led a Regeneration Partnership in Bedford and also worked for a private sector bank. From 2003 to 2008 she was self employed as a Community Finance Consultant and has experience of working on a number of projects with Community Finance Institutions and Credit Unions. Lucy now juggles running a bed and breakfast and caring for her young daughter.
Vice Chair: David Oliver. David has been a Director of Parity Trust for just over six years and is also Chair of the Trusts Credit Committee and serves on the Executive Committee. David has practised as a solicitor since the mid 1970's and specialises in the law relating to insolvency and business recovery. David also sits as a Deputy District Judge and as a Chartered Arbitrator. He lives in Southsea with his wife, is the father of three grown up sons (only one is a lawyer), he is a keen golfer and is also a pompey fan.
